Postdoctoral position in Immunology

This is a 6-year funded postdoctoral position in the Immunology Group of the Department of Medicine and Life Sciences (MELIS), Universitat Pompeu Fabra

Research will focus mainly on studying how the immunometabolism of myeloid cells can shape adaptive immune responses and anti-tumor immunity. Focus on identifying transcription
mechanisms that control inflammatory responses.
The position includes teaching activities in the subject of Immunology for students in the degrees of Medicine and Human Biology, with a maximum of 100 hours per academic year.
The candidate should have a solid academic background in Biomedicine or similar, a doctoral thesis oriented to immunology or inflammation, and ideally teaching experience in Immunology.
The following aspects will be valued for this position: experience working with mouse models of human disease, isolating and characterizing primary cells of the immune system, experience with
RNA quantification by RT-qPCR, familiarity with multicolor and spectral flow cytometry and cell sorting, and experience with statistical analysis with GraphPad.
We will also value an advanced level of communication (written and spoken) in English, experience supervising master or PhD students, and previous involvement in preparing drafts for scientific
publications and grants.
